How I Use It
I used this website to view topics relating to WWI and mainly The American Revolution. The George Washington link deals with many aspects of the revolution and the roll George Washington played as the leader of a new nation. I used the portrait study where we learned what the symbols were in a painting of President Washington. The newspaper articles are fun to print and read as a class discussion.
My Take
I would love to see more student activities. I believe this extremely well-maintained web site could be so much more of an educational tool if it provided more activities and more ways to interact. The site is mainly an informative one but teachers and students can benefit more by activities geared toward learning so they may develop a deeper understanding of the content.
