How I Use It
I have been using the program in my RtI rotations. I work with small groups of about 6 kids. We focus on a specific phonics lesson a week and use this program to reinforce the skills at the end of the week. As of right now, this isn't enough time for the students to really make any gains. I'd like to work on creating a schedule where some students are working with me in a face-to-face lesson, while the others are working on the computer.
I think if the students are given more time, they'll be able to move through the levels quicker. They are excited to work on the program and feel accomplished when they've completed a game successfully. I don't want them to lose their enthusiasm, so creating a balanced schedule is necessary. They are making connections between what they've been working on and the lessons we're doing whole class.
