How I Use It
I used this website to teach basic coding. I even had my students create vocabulary scenes that used the word and what it means in a coded scene. They loved it and all students were successful. I loved seeing which students were the fastest at understanding how to work the connecting cubes. Once one student figured out how to do the assignment the rest of the class quickly caught on. I used the teaching manual they provide. I recommend doing the lessons before you have students do them, but you do not have to be proficient.
My Take
It is a great way to teach. There are so many ways to use it, but it does take a while for students to do. It makes a great Friday project or after school class. If you let the kids really play with it they will learn faster than if you try to teach each aspect of coding. This is great for younger kids but after junior high students should move on to more difficult programs.
