How I Use It

Students are using Scratch to begin understanding how to create computer programs. Some students have joined an enrichment class that pairs the Makey Makey device with Scratch. Students get a brief introduction to both, with links to video tutorials for using the two in combination. As they explore these tutorials, they are inspired to create projects of their own.

My Take

Scratch is easy to use, and combining it with the Makey Makey has produced some amazing projects. It's been great to see the kids share their learning with each other; definitely a tool that allows a teacher to become a 'guide on the side' and allow learning to happen, rather than directing all steps.

Students are using this site with Makey Makey circuits boards do some amazing things!
