How I Use It
Being a technology specialist, I use Read Write Think to help students analyze digital media such as identifying quality website sources and online resources. I often go to the lesson plans area to download materials to use with students in my lessons and also to provide materials to other teachers to use in their own classrooms.
I find the lessons to be engaging and manageable for the time period they specify, which is always helpful when trying to plan out expected time for completion.
The website is well thought out, providing resources for teachers and students to help engage critical thinking around reading/language arts. The lessons are of high-quality and the materials for reproduction are thorough and designed with students in mind. The materials seem age appropriate, so you can search up or down grades as student need additional support.
The website seems to be indexed well by Google as I'm often brought to this website through my regular Google searching, an indicator of the quality of the website as well.
