How I Use It
I use Reading A-Z in a variety of ways in my classroom. I use leveled books and to provide differentiated instruction for my small groups. I use the projectable books to conduct shared reading lessons and to model strategies. I use many of the resources in the Common Core tab such as the Close Reading Packs and Comprehension Skill packs. The printable books are great for close reading and text-marking.
As a reading teacher, Reading A-Z is my all time FAVORITE website. My district has transitioned to the Common Core without providing many resources to supplement the current curriculum, Harcourt Trophies. Reading A-Z has provided me with the resources needed to create cross-curricular units that meet the demands of the CCSS. The only drawback to this website is the cost ($99.95/year per classroom).
