Teacher Review For Quill

Quill is fantastic for independent practice on multiple skills: proofreading, writing, grammar, and typing skills. The students enjoy the process so much that it's difficult to keep them off of it and work on other programs. Thank you Quill team!

How I Use It
I teach a classroom of multiple age groups and ability levels. I rotate the students throughout the day, and one of the stations is independent work on computers. I was looking for engaging language arts programs for this station. I found quill.org and, along with readtheory.org, students practice reading comprehension and writing skills. This allows me to focus on small group instruction while feeling GREAT that students are learning. Quill is easy to differentiate, and the students don't want to get off of it!
My Take
This program is versatile in that it can be used as independent work, small group or whole group instruction. In group discussion, students learn from successes and failures while arguing over how to find all the mistakes in a reading selection! My only criticism is I wish there was more content. Thank you quill for a great product :)
