How I Use It

I use Prezi as a presentation tool in my English 10 classroom for presenting content to my students and as an alternative to PowerPoint for my students to use to present their own work. My students find Prezi generally easy to use and more appealing than PowerPoint. The only problem that I had with my students using Prezi is that because it is a “new” tool for them, it takes a little more time for them to get into content-related (ELA) work because they have to play around with the program before beginning the assignment.

My Take

I really value Prezi as an instructional tool. I like that it is easy to use. I also like that it is free at the most basic version. Another good thing about it is that it is online-based, so students do not have to save it to a device. It is so convenient that it can be accessed online from anywhere. The program has evolved and improved from when I first started using it until now. There are lots more premade formats available for students to use, so it is easier to get them started with it.
