How I Use It
I present professional development lessons to train teachers to use technology tools. The latest session I held on Prezi was for our district's world language department chairs. It is important to remind learners that it is okay to take it one step at a time and learn the basics before going for the "bells and whistles". A few learners ran the risk of having their content miss the mark because they were going overboard on the delivery setup. Most of the attendees designed Prezis for class presentation on the history of their specific language's country. They really liked the ability to insert pictures, videos, links to tourism sites, etc., to use Prezi to take their students on a virtual tour of the country.
Great resource, especially since they revamped the creation tools and got rid of the "zebra" wheel and made using/editing the "path" more intuitive (the two main aspects that frustrated users in the past). Very easy to add different types of media to a presentation, especially with the integrated Google Image search. Easily integrates all aspects of lesson delivery without having to jump back and forth between applications.
