How I Use It
I create these presentations to coincide with my lectured lesson. Typically I embed video or images to explore and change the view to zoom and move as necessary. When I attempted to encourage my students to use this method of preparing presentations, however, it was a bust for about half of them. More advanced students with access to longer periods of screen time will do better creating these presentations: it seemed to take my middle schoolers anywhere from 45-120 minutes to complete one 5-8 minute presentation.
Any presentation made with Prezi is much more effective in my classroom than other interfaces. The fluid movement between views keeps kids engaged and tuned in -- it is also easy to give them a visual of how the small portion they are focused on at the present time is merely a piece of the larger picture.
