How I Use It
I have used this in the classroom to deliver instruction and students really like a change from Power Point. I have also used this for individual student projects/presentations and small group projects and presentations. For group projects this is great because students can be working on the same Prezi from different computers. They can also see the changes their group members are making.
This is a great alternative to the traditional use of a Power Point for instruction, projects, presentations, and student engagement. It does take more prep than Power Point, but gets easier as you become more familiar with Prezi. This can be taught to students, but will take clear step-by-step directions and scaffolding to get them more comfortable. (This can be a little more tedious/difficult to explain how to use if you are an online teacher.) I would suggest giving a small assignment with Prezi before doing a group or individual project. This is also a great tool because you can access it from anywhere and do not have to rely on having your computer or saving it (although saving it do your computer for offline presentations is also available.)
