How I Use It
This was hard to evaluate for pedagogy because it is a Planbook. I have been using this planbook for many many years. It has become very popular in our building and now quite a few teachers are using it. One of my favorite features is the standards are on the site. You can write a lesson and tag a lesson to it. Another new feature they have is the ability to share your lesson plans. My coworkers and I are able to collaborate on our lessons to help create more rigorous lessons. The tools are very easy to use and they have tons of help videos to assist you. There is a student piece and a gradebook piece that I have not used yet. I love how I can take my lessons from last year and import them into this years lesson plans. This has helped me tremendously. You can add holidays, extend lessons, bump lessons, and so much more. I am still learning all of the new features that they have. I highly recommend this Planbook if you need a good program for lesson plans.
My Take
Planbook is 12 dollars a month. This is not a lot and it is well worth it. This is not a teaching tool, but a way for you to keep all of your notes, files, etc all in one place and collaborate with teachers. I love the ease of the program! When teachers have well written lessons we tend to be better prepared for our classes. This planbook helps us to be better prepared!
