How I Use It
My first graders used PebbleGo to do a "first research project" as a class. I used PebbleGo to project on our SMART Board and the kids followed along with me. The text is read to you, and there are videos that go along with the information. Once we researched spiders as a class, they explored PebbleGo on their own to find information about a topic that interested them. It is an easy site to navigate though some kids will require help at an early age.
PebbleGo has a wide variety of information resources geared to the youngest learners. With brightly colored pages of text and photos, students are drawn to topics that interest them such as animals and space. It is an expensive subscription, so I wish certainly wish that it would be cheaper, but if your school can make the investment, it is one that kids and teachers will love.
