How I Use It
I have used Padlet to create a wall of opinion about a book or a topic. Students feel less intimidated sharing using their individual devices and still benefit from viewing each other's ideas. I have used it successfully in a media creation project in which students contributed words with positive and negative connotations; this was a great application of their learning and later it served as a word bank they could all access when creating their media projects.
Padlet allows students to share ideas in real time. Students are engaged during an idea-sharing session as they watch the the chain of ideas grow and see their thoughts appear. It works well in a large group with a projector but can also be handy in small group or individual work. Another benefit is the record students have to return to and the ability to move ideas around use the visual of the sticky notes.
