How I Use It
I would use Newseum if I were teaching US History or Journalism. The modules about civil rights, the Civil War, and the Civil Rights Movement look useful. They also have lessons on current events and have guest speakers/debates on topical topics.
My Take
I would use this if I needed some quick ideas for teaching about a current event, such as the 10th anniversary of 9/11, or if I were, like I said, a US history teacher needing some more contemporary takes on womens rights. It would be great if you could take a virtual tour of the entire Newseum and participate in a simulation about making news. The website needs to be more interactive to be more effective, like, I imagine the Newseum is.
