How I Use It
I used this product to lead my Social Studies lessons in the classroom. I enjoy it because it gives the students the chance to talk about what they are learning! The site has over 300 games, puzzles, and activities that keeps the students' attention. It makes them dive into the lesson and forget that they are learning. The students really enjoy playing the Big Cats Memory Game. The game has appropriate sounds to signal a correct match and the students thrive off of rewards and acknowledgment of success.
My Take
My overall opinion is that the site is great for young and older children. My young preschool students enjoy the site and after just four uses all of my VPK students can work the site. I like that it is a simple site and can be worked by a four year older. I am not sure what would be better for my teaching except more videos for my age group to be created and made available. I am sure that this site is great just the way it is due to the responses I have going from my parents and students. I also like that it is free and can help parents. I have used this for homework assignments and the students love it! I would encourage every educator to use it and get parents connected to it too!!
