How I Use It
I used it with third graders as an open-explore activity where students got to try out different parts of the site. I could easily see having students use it to all watch one video or do a specific game that I assign. It is nice that there is a great deal of content (and even "related" links) so if you have students who finish early there are plenty of other things form them to do.
My Take
It is great to find a site that is kid-friendly and also highly reliable in terms of the information provided. The content is organized but not necessarily in a way that I usually look for (e..g. all "Science" content is not in one place or organized by "physics," "biology," "astronomy," etc.). However, you can search the whole site which helps narrow things down. It also has a good amount of variety which makes it likely that all students will find something of interest.
