Teacher Review for National Geographic Education: Maps

Such a great website! There are tons of maps that allow you to supplement geography & history lessons, as well as ways to teach students how to read/use maps, interact with stories while looking at maps, and even create their own maps!

How I Use It
I would use this site while teaching a history lesson of any subject, and would especially use the GeoStories product so that we can connect the history lesson with where the incidents or part of history happened. Being able to bring to life and see the places associated with what you are learning would greatly help with memory of the subject.
My Take
I think the project is great as a teaching tool, but there is a lot to look at and comb through to be able to use the website as a teaching tool. I love all the different types of maps and think that it would be beneficial for my students to be able to see the places they are learning about in relation to where they live, and also to see the places they are learning about- rather than just hear about that.
