How I Use It
This website offers amazing resources for the Novel November initiative. This year the 6th grade classes at the school took part in this program. There is an amazing writers kit that is also a part of this program. The kit is free and they "sell out" very quickly. The also was writing workbooks designed for different grade levels. Working with all of the 6th grade teachers, we split the work book up into sections and had the kids work at school and at home to complete their story outlines/fill-ins. We will be using the website Storybird in conjunction with this project.
My Take
I LOVED all of the resources this sit has to offer. I did not love the fact that the only way I could add students to my online group was to have them register individually with an email. A lot of my 5th/6th graders do not have email addresses. While I will definitely use this website again with my high school students, I will only use the resources from this website with the younger students.
