My Take
The ease of implementing myON within a school is seamless. Students are able to rate what types of materials they like to read and then take a placement test. The score of this assessment will then provide each student a personalized library based off of their interests and Lexile score. Teachers can also use myON to support their curriculum by launching book sets. This has served my school well for various research based projects and extension activities. The best part is myON offers books that I have right on my library shelves. The kids think this is great and the teachers love that they finally have a program with rigorous and authentic text available. Book quizzes and benchmark assessments are provided throughout myON which help track students' reading progress. The audio feature within myON is also wonderful as it serves to allow students to enjoy books even outside of their reading level.
