How I Use It
I originally used the program during ELA and math tutoring. Parents were always wondering how they could keep the learning going after I left. I would spend a lot of time creating activities for parents and students to do while I was gone. However, these tasks would often go undone. When I started assigning lessons using MobyMax, the assignments were getting done and progress was being made and measured. Parents were excited because their children were able to do the tasks independently. I was excited because I was able to reinforce lessons I taught easily and effectively. Students enjoyed getting instant feedback after each problem. I could check in and write to students via the program quickly and easily. This added a whole new dynamic to my tutoring.
For my youngest students (kindergarten), the log in was super easy with a picture. From there, students could easily see the assignments and begin. Little time was wasted navigating the site. Students were able to work on target skills while I was not with them. This allowed each student to practice and make gains quickly. The program accurately pinpointed skills they missed, and I was able to assign further lessons to focus on these skills. I utilized the progress reports to see which advancements the students made through the week to guide my lessons. Moby also utilized its own motivation tools to keep students eager to log on and learn more. Parents were instantly curious why their kids always wanted to log on to this educational program.
