How I Use It
I'm super bummed by this program specifically for students that are blind. The rest of the class, even special ed class, are learning and engaged and my student is sitting frustrated with hands off the keyboard. The accessible questions and move at your own speed of MobyMax is a huge appeal to all kinds of classes. The interactive platform keeps kids moving just their eyes across a screen with visuals and options for questions and answers to be read aloud helps those that need it. Unfortunately, the entire platform is a screen reader's worst nightmare. The page is read as a flash animation so no help for kiddos without vision.
Overall, I think MobyMax is a great program for most classes. Kids seem to enjoy it for independent work and it makes for a good quiet time activity in class and even for homework. Unfortunately, it's simply not compatible for students that are blind and require screen reader support. For days my kids have MobyMax assigned it's time to break out the alternative assignments.
