How I Use It
I used this product to support reading and math strategies that we use in the classroom. It is used to build skills and practice what has been learned. This is an excellent product that worked in the class at all times. It differentiates lessons for the students. The students enjoy the lessons also. The initial assessments can get long depending on the student levels and students can reach a frustration level in trying to get through it. However, once they begin using the site, time limits can be provided to help with this. I used The Wall application as a LMS to introduce students to the basics of online learning.
This product can be used in so many ways for student learning. It begins with an initial assessment which individualizes starting points for each student. This is done in each content area if needed. The program then begins lessons according to each students needs, individually. You may assign remediation for individual students as well, with personalized time limits as well as other parameters. Moby Max has features that allow the teacher to track data on student progress, which is a feature that is beneficial for both students and teachers. I really like the LMS feature that lets teacher send messages to students, create assignments, and provide polls. My students really enjoyed this aspect of the program as it was their first introduction to online learning. There is also an email feature that is a great way to introduce students to online communication. This program could be used at the Augmentation level, but easily pushed to the Modification level with the interactive LMS component. Assignments can be created to encourage online communication and interactive work.
