How I Use It
This is a coding platform similar to Scratch that allows learners to program the micro:bit. You can use the online simulator if you do not have the real micro:bit. One of the great things about this platform is that there is no logging into the system so no data from the students is collected. Projects are automatically saved in the browser of the computer or can be saved on to the learner's computer via the save button.
Can use this in pairs or single learners and they can follow task cards, teacher-led, or via exploring of the tutorials.
I think that is platform is really great to have students explore programming, they can create programs, modifiy programs and test them out in the simulator. A bonus if you do have some micro:bits to use with the learners.
Drawback is that you can't log into the website to save your projects to continue later - learners need to use the same computer or download to USB or Google drive to re-upload. However, this drawback is also great that students do not need to have a username and password which they will forget or lose.
