How I Use It
Given its low engagement factor, I would only use it with students who demonstrate a weakness in this specific area. I would first walk through the tutorial with them in a small group, then have them play through the game either in the classroom or for homework for a limited amount of time, until they mastered the skill. I would also supplement it with more hands-on opportunities to explore probability, including Virtual Dice and Virtual Spinner from "Unpractical Math.com"
My Take
List All Probable Outcomes is one of many Prodigi activities within MangaHigh that help students practice their math skills. The upside is that the activity is targeted to a very specific, Common Core aligned, skill and adapts the questions up and down based on the students' responses. Students who answer questions quickly and correctly get extra points and immediate positive feedback. Also, there is an optional brief tutorial students can do before doing the activity, or if they are experiencing difficulty. The downside is that the activities lack the graphic video-game backgrounds and sounds that keep students engaged.
