How Can Teachers Use It?

LearnZillion's 7th Grade Math lessons are best used for differentiated instruction, as each video or quiz is linked to a clear Common Core learning goal. The Dashboard helps students track their own understanding -- teachers can support this by assigning specific videos to students who may be struggling with a particular concept. However, it's important to note that the guided practice resources here don't seem quite as robust when compared to those in earlier grade levels, such as the 6th Grade Math module.

Teachers may want to view the lessons themselves for ideas on how to present some of the content. For example, in Make inferences about range, the video uses an example of a fictitious basketball game. Teachers could follow up with a lesson using stats from an actual school event to teach the concept in a more personalized way that also helps connect students' learning to their world.
