How I Use It
I download the powerpoint, review it, add in a "do now" in the beginning, fix any formatting errors, remove slides I don't like, add slides that I find necessary, and show the powerpoint to the class. I have occasionally shown the video of the website explaining the powerpoint on days that I have a sub so I don't lose the day of teaching.
Learnzillion contains a lot of powerpoints that are common core aligned. The powerpoints are visually pleasing with moving parts, highlighting, review, notes, definitions, and practice. Students find the information clear and the slides visually pleasing. They can easily take notes and pay attention to instruction because the slides are not busy. I also like them because the powerpoints can be changed easily through microsoft powerpoint which is necessary seeing as there are occasional format errors in the powerpoints.
