How I Use It
I've used it multiple ways:
-To give myself a deeper understanding of the subject matter by watching it on my own
-Sending it home for parents to watch to gain an understanding of what was being taught in class, so they could talk with their students using the same vocab I do.
-Having high students watch at their leisure and write about the lessons and what they learned
-Having low students review lessons they didn't master or preview lessons that were coming up.
-I've also downloaded their slides and used them for my own lessons
Overall a great and multi-faceted resource! Side note: It takes less than five minutes to set up, unless you are setting up a whole class, then it will take a bit longer.
This is a great resource that can be used so many ways. Each video is tied directly to a common core standard and are very visual and explained well. Videos also come with lesson plans, worksheets, and lesson ideas. I love the ease of use and the way it is directly tied to each CC standard. It could be better if it was more integrated into other websites, i.e. if each lesson had a link to more lessons at lesson planning sites or links to other activities students can do to practice the skill.
