How I Use It
I used Lalilo for distance learning. My students enjoyed the activities that Lalilo provided. I liked the fact that the students were able to take a pre-assessment to determine where they were at and then build their skills from there. I also liked that it covered phonics, sight words, word families and comprehension. These are all the areas that I cover in face-to-face instruction. I would check the progress reports and develop my Zoom instruction based on areas the students were struggling with.
I really liked using Lalilo as a teaching tool. I really liked that it covered the areas of phonics, sight words, word families and comprehension. I also liked the fact that it gave a pre-assessment to determine where the students needed to start and built from there. My students really enjoyed the activities, so they were engaged. I want to continue using it as a tool for my students, especially with the possibility of distance learning for the 2020-2021 school year. I appreciated that weekly emails with progress reports and being able to see the areas that the students were struggling with. I then developed my instruction on those areas. I only wish that I could send individual reports to the parents.
