How I Use It
I've used this product in two ways. 1) Students have their own blogs about topics of their choosing. On a weekly basis (as part of homework) they must write a piece related to the main idea and post it on the Blog. Students also read and comment on other students work. 2) The teacher poses a question or discussion topic on his/her blog and then the students comment.
It can be time consuming to set up student accounts, but once it's up and running it's a great tool. I find that it encourages our students to become stronger writers. They want what they post for the "world" to see to be the best they can produce.
