How Can Teachers Use It?

These Trigonometry lessons are a good way to introduce a topic or to reinforce more extensive classroom instruction and assessment. For example, the lessons about unit circles and angle addition formulas are particularly thorough. After each lesson, have students complete the practice problems -- they'll have the option to access hints and additional supporting videos. When used with the new missions interface, the lessons themselves take a back seat to Khan's individualized learning approach, which is great for kids at this level. Trigonometry is a visual topic, so kids should work with this module individually -- challenge them to complete the practice problems on their own. However, bring the class back together to discuss possible solutions -- encourage open reflection on the strategies and skills they used to solve any particularly challenging problems.
