How Can Teachers Use It?

Khan Academy's Physics section provides video tutorials for a broad range of topics, including One & Two Dimensional Motion, Forces, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy, Momentum, Thermodynamics, Electricity, Magnetism, Waves, and Optics. However, it's important to know that the content here isn't as robust as you'll find elsewhere on Khan Academy. The math lessons, for example, are filled with formative skill assessments that you won't find here, without the missions interface. One exception here is the section on Newton’s Laws of Motion, which includes two short skills assessments. Be aware, though -- the “hint” provided for Newton’s 3rd Law of Motion doesn't help kids figure out the correct answer; it simply gives them the correct answer. Use these physics lessons selectively, and preview them first before sending them to students. Some videos could lead to confusion or misconceptions. When you find a video you'd like to send to your students, simply click Recommend Task from the teacher dashboard.
