How I Use It

Khan Academy is a simple way to approach the idea of a flipped classroom. It allows the students to view instructional materials on the topic for the classroom prior to arrival and allows the teacher to focus on practicing the skill and gaining greater understanding, instead of focusing on the teaching of the whole group and working with each student at the point where they need the assistance.

My Take

I like Khan Academy and the idea behind its creation. However, Sal sometimes is quite monotonous and seems to be too focused on his delivery via the presentation tool and not the real content that should be the main focus. If I had the time to create videos like this, on my own, I would do so and try to create a flipped classroom for my class, but with the time and ability to do so, Khan Academy is a way to go about it, without all of the work involved.

Sal may be a bit odd at times, but Khan Academy does provide some great instruction.
