How I Use It
I use this in my class to supplement my math series in my flipped learning classroom. I will assign videos for students to watch for homework that introduces the topic we will be practicing in class the next day and I have a response form that they will fill out while watching that makes them pick out key vocabulary, skills, concepts, or ideas. The videos work out great as it narrates step by step procedures on how to solve. Then I spend almost the entire classroom practicing and mastery the skill instead of introducing it.
I love this website and use it often. I have changed my math class into a flipped classroom where the students watch videos for homework as an introduction to the next day's lesson. This video is a great resource to use. It has step by step, narrated, procedural videos that show each step of work along the way. I love that the videos discuss the problem while solving it so you can see how the author is thinking about math. It is also a great review source for my students that they can go back and look at any time. There is also an option to register your class and assign then modules. In that case, it awards them points for their progress throughout the module and has them answer questions after watching the videos. Either way, this is a great resource for math class!!
