How I Use It
Kahoot is an intersting tool to promote students’ involvement in class. I used it with all my students. In fact, I made my own account on Kahoot and prepared my own quiz on it based on a reading passage about the Great Lakes. Then, in class I distributed the text on my students to read it and be ready to answer questions using Kahoot. My students used their devices to create their own accounts and then they added the displayed code on the board and started answering questions. What the students liked the most is when their names appear on the board also the number of points they gained in light of their correct answers. I also used Kahoot excel sheet to check all students answers and gather data to prepare suitable lesson plans. Kahoot is good as it helps display data for the whole assessment on the spot, which helps teachers react more effectively to address their students’ learning needs.
Kahoot is an excellent interactive tool to make students more engaged in class. It gives the opportunity to teachers not only to build their own assessments, but also it offers a rich list of assessments done by other teachers. Kahoot helps teachers gain time by gathering data immediately after the assessment is over and start planning their lessons. Kahoot also makes students more interested in their learning and master it as it should be. In addition, they ask for using Kahoot in all their sessions. What I also love in Kahoot is the possibility to make students behavior much better and opportunity to create a positive and encouraging classroom learning atmosphere.
