How I Use It
I use this product regularly with my students. I LOVE it for many reasons. Students are highly engaged as everyone participates in answering the questions. Teachers can create their own Q & A to review content, practice, prepare for a test, etc., OR teachers can use the already available sets that teachers have already created. I have found many of these to be very good as I have found ones of virtually every topic and even ones that align with adopted textbooks/curriculum.
I love that students can be put in teams to collaborate or work independently. They can use various devices including desktops, laptops, iPads, phones, etc. If used individually, teachers can check for understanding at the end of the Q & A. It is great for a review and so engaging for students. It is competitive which makes it more engaging for students. Students often ask me when we are going to use Kahoot and get very excited when we do. Do to the interest and level of engagement, I am trying to incorporate it more into my lessons when possible. It is FREE and very user-friendly for students and teachers!
