How I Use It
I have been looking for an instructional game that is similar to what you see in your local rib or wing restaurant. I always enjoy the trivia and felt this would be a good format for review. The kids really enjoy the competition with each other and could play the whole class. Since the teacher advances the questions (the way I set it up), I can review why an answer is or isn't the correct answer. It spices up the review for the upcoming test and grabs all learners attention in the game style format. Since Kahoot is searchable students could review the game at home for review or homework. You could also have the students create a Kahoot and have the students compete with student made reviews.
My Take
I loved the end result and the student participation. What was difficult was loading the questions and answers on the front end. For a 20 question game I spent over an hour typing the question, selecting a picture, four answer options and setting the time frame. Twenty seconds worked well for my class, you could extend or shorten the time based on your student population. My only criticism would be the time developing the Kahoot. The results outweigh the time factor though.
