IXL's Kindergarten math module has practice drills for 127 skills in 20 categories, including fractions, geometry, counting, patterns, addition, and subtraction. Concept coverage is pretty thorough and quite specific, so you should easily find practice problems to match anything you're teaching in class. To start off, introduce and teach a concept using some of your own hands-on activities and in-class lessons, then use IXL's drills for assessment and extra practice.

Be aware that for wrong answers, feedback is bare-bones and -- unlike drill questions -- not available on an audio track. Keep a close eye on your kids' progress to gauge where they'll need extra help. When using the site for practice, make the most of IXL's adaptive features which helps the program meet kids right at their level with customized learning paths.

Great way to skill drill with young children. The audio function is very helpful for students that are not yet strong readers.
I liked the fact that presentation is clean, problems come on one at a time so students don't get overwhelmed. I also like the ability to hide the grade a student is working on so that the stigma of using a lower grade's content is not obvious to students.
