Grammaropolis' Pronouns module helps kids explore the finer points of English pronouns through movies, a story, and multiple-choice quizzes. Take note: The opening screens of this section could be dizzyingly complex for some kids -- without knowing how to use these parts of speech, it could be hard to keep track of the distinctions between them all. Luckily, later activities solidify these distinctions with engaging stories, catchy songs, and feedback-filled quizzes.

The comic ebook features a great story that talks about the relationship between pronouns and antecedents, making the concept clear to kids. Three cute videos are also included, the best of which is a four-minute blues riff where the main character cutely bemoans that he can't function on his own -- he needs someone else: an antecedent. There are also four types of quizzes available, each offering instant, detailed feedback. With such a variety of resources, you'll have the flexibility for both whole-class or self-paced instruction. Both struggling readers and rising grammar stars could benefit from quiet, self-paced study, while the videos make for great shared-viewing experiences.
