How I Use It
I've seen Grammarly used among Language Arts teachers in my school to provide objective feedback and to check originality/plagiarism among the students. Furthermore, teachers have encouraged them to use it to self-check and self-assess their writing before submitting it to the teacher or publishing in a blog and online. It provides a report and suggestions to each piece of writing that is submitted.
My Take
This is a great tool that saves teachers time checking for plagiarism, in addition to supporting the Grammar and writing overall. As much as it saves time, it will never be a replacement for a teacher's judgement and personalized feedback to the students. It is very useful for individual work. Students have the opportunity to review and be re-taught some of the most important grammatical, structural, and lexical principles.
