How I Use It
We have used this for a number of projects, but the most recent was for a rocket launch project so that the students could calculate altitude. Before we actually ventured out, we needed to see the whole school grounds and find the points where each of the students would be stationed to take their altitude readings and calculate the distances. It worked really well and the students had a good outcome, except that the weather could of been better, but that is no reflection on Google earth which is an amazing tool.
The applications are enormous from simply finding coordinates, to looking at a site and its progression, to geography. Really, the only limitation is your imagination. Kids love it.
