How I Use It

Google Drive has completely changed the way we collaborate in our district.

The platform itself is so intuitive and easy to use, the very idea of sending an attachment via email now seems antiquated.

The comment function embedded in every element of Google Drive has become an efficient way for teachers to give immediate feedback to students or each other.

Some teachers have even noticed that students actually read the feedback given, and refer back to previous document commentary to improve their writing.

Each doc created has its own unique URL, which makes for easy sharing via a plethora of web-based utilities.

Another beneficial component has been the ability to share common file types, including video and audio files. Teachers have taken to sharing audio assessments with students, since sharing is now simplified. Student products range from simple document creation to designing their own websites.

Overall, Google Drive is a productivity set that will have a profound effect on how your organization shares information.

My Take

Intuitive. Collaborative. Accessible. A Google Drive account grants the user access to a stout list of productivity tools that allows for the creation of documents, spreadsheets and presentations that can be easily shared with others.

Changes to these docs can be made by multiple users all at the same time.

Google Drive allows you access to your files from anywhere, with or without an Internet connection.

You also have access to Google Drive from any smartphone or tablet with the Google Drive app.

Don’t have an Internet connection?

Not a problem.

Google Drive puts an end to your paper trail, and allows teachers and students to share folders and assignments with a few clicks, even offline.

Since this is a Google product, the search within the Google Drive account makes finding documents simple.
