How I Use It
This year I used Glogster to help kids create awareness about an organization that rescues abandoned, orphaned and abused cats. I provided photos I'd taken at the facility, placing them into a folder students could access. I set my expectations for number of photos, variety of images and sizes, captions, titles, and proper writing conventions. My plan is to create a presentation from their posters that I can share with the organization to help spread the word about the great work they do. We were able to use Glogster to bring attention to a real problem.
Glogster has a lot to offer. Students learn how to import a variety of media into their account. They also learn the art of graphic design, learning how to add appropriate images and text in a creative, eye catching manner. Writing skills and digital citizenship are also developed.
