How I Use It
I use glogster as a way to create digital posters. I decided to pay for an edu membership after using it myself in a graduate class. The 5th grade students complete a historical biography glog on someone from the American Revolution. There are 30 student accounts, and within each account the teacher can "assign" projects. Students work on designing their poster while including their information gathered. There are several templates the the teacher can assign, or students can start with a blank template and add as they go. Glogster has a great library of stock photos and graphics to really allow students time to create.
I love using glogster with students. They like being able to customize their posters to reflect their topic. Students learn about digital creation and design. I would not use glogster with graders younger than 4th, the options and design features would be too overwhelming for the younger students. This is a great way to create a visual representation for research projects or topics.
