How I Use It
I use Front Row to enhance and practice reading skills that are tested. This allows me to choose articles that fit with my student's interests and content that goes along with topics I'm covering. Being able to assign the articles ahead of time allows me the freedom to choose the best article to fit the goals of my lessons. I love being able to change the recommended grade level of text to correspond with each individual student. I don't teach the subject of math, but student choose math content as a free choice after the ELA article is completed.
My Take
I use Front Row to help my students with reading skills. The variety of articles is astounding. Plus, you can choose an article based on genre and reading anchor skills for core subjects. After the diagnostic lesson, teachers can set the reading level for each student, which is fantastic! Since Front Row adjusts the reading skill level to meet each student's need, teachers that option too.
