How I Use It
I've been using Front Row for three years now. The first two I only used the Math part and found it extremely good for students to work at their own level to gain more practice outside of the classroom. It's alignment to the common core standards and the Math Domains in particular, made it easy to assign practice for students who need a little more work to achieve mastery in the required domains. I used the "Fact Practice" everyday to either get my students up to speed with their facts or to keep the ones that "had" them, not slipping backwards.
This year I am only using the ELA part. The "Word Study" is great for my students to learn basic word usage and spelling. The articles are interesting and the fact that kids are reading them at their reading level makes their comprehension easier. I can also challenge my kids by assigning articles at slightly higher reading level. This gives me great feedback to see what my kids capabilities are.
I would highly recommend Front Row to any teacher. Kids enjoy it and love going to the "Piggy Store." It's really great for Personalized/ Individual learning. Great tool to follow the growth that my students are making.
One thing Front Row needs is a search bar to find the reading articles easier.
