How I Use It

My students need vocabulary work and growth. With the focus on Common Core and increasing student vocabulary, I needed a site that gave them vocabulary practice. We have a contest between the classes in the same grade levels to see who can earn the most points to encourage more exposure to this site. It is also the go to site (along with KHAN) for students who finish other work.

My Take

Common Core demands higher level and varied vocabulary use. This site exposes students to new vocabulary and allows for practice. It is engaging and has a global citizen aspect to it as you are able to see the rice fill up the bowls and help feed hungry people.

Vocabulary practice and feed the world! How can you go wrong?
