How I Use It
I use this with students who complete their work early. I also often use it with my middle school students to work on as they are waiting for classmates to get to class! I make sure to introduce it to the lower school students to let them know that they have the ability to help reduce hunger for people around the world just by studying. They learn how to access the site from home too.
My Take
What a great site for teaching social responsibility to your students! Students can help feed the world, while practicing their skills in basic math, art identification, and several foreign languages. In addition, students can work on chemistry symbols, anatomy, English vocabulary and grammar! As they practice they are rewarded with 10 grains of rice for the World Food Program which is part of the United Nations. Students enjoy seeing their bowls fill up with rice.
