How I Use It
This website helps students get a rounded study of William Shakespeare and his works. It helps teachers not have to seek several outside sources and fuse them together because Folger's collectively assembles what's needed for a complete lesson plan. It could be difficult for some students to navigate but with teacher assistance could be a valuable source for both direct and independent instruction.
I use this at varying times during my Shakespeare unit when discussing Romeo and Juliet, sonnets, and Elizabethan England. The students have to motivated to discover answers, but with graphic organizers and teacher-designed webquests could be very effective.
