How I Use It
I teach world history and use the raps to enhance student interest and engagement. This year after listening to the Fertile Crescent Rap my students wrote their own raps to summarize a chapter about Empires of Mesopotamia. They were thrilled!
My Take
My 7th graders love it, the 8th graders I have tried to use it with were not so crazy about the historical raps, but loved the Week in Rap. Provides a great model for students to learn a new way to share their understanding of a subject. Very engaging. LEt's face it, if you are like me you can remember anything if it is put to music!
